day 7: sing

This would have been so much cooler if I just made it the My Chem SING. I kind of just write what to do as the day goes along, but in this case I did really have to do a song number for my lolo's b-day.

It was funny how we surprised him for his 80th birthday celebration. When we fetched him from their place he was all set on treating us to that Chinese resto Shangri-la (Cajo was kind of upset when we pulled into the restaurant because he was thinking Shangri-la buffet), he even asked if he we could first pass by an ATM so he can  withdraw money. He was so cute when we were asking him what he was going to order and then he was like, The noodles syempre for long life. You can only imagine his surprise when we entered one of the function rooms. Our tita told him that all the tables up front were already reserved and that she got them a table in the back. It's kind of sad how old people get slow at times, but it sort of worked to our advantage 'cause we got him to be all surprised. Family members from his side of the family were able to make it. I sang after ate played a few numbers on the guitar. It was so embarrassing 'cause I failed during most of the song, but it's okay to fail in front of family.

My super cute cousin is so adorable. Her parents are musicians so I bet she's going to be as musical talented as her mom and dad (they said she can already sing Rolling In The Deep, I wish I can get her to sing for me next reunion). At first she only stayed with ate and didn't mind me when I said hi. It took awhile but all I had to do was ask her if she wanted to see the fishes and she went, Yes, in her cute tiny voice. She quickly grabbed my hand as we walked to the fish pond outside of the restaurant.

The tip to making babies like you is talking in a baby-ish voice. Also, you just have to find out what she's interested in. I found out that my cousin loves Princess "Arel" because I asked her if she watches Disney movies and who her favorite princess was.
