Being stuck at home for days straight made me lethargic and stupid. Somehow I missed going to school, walking from one building to another and hanging out with friends. If you were confined to the four corners of your room because of the weather and the insane floods that's been happening for the past week, then I guess you feel my pain.
At one point I just wanted out. I could literally feel my thighs and my already huge bottom growing with each passing day. I didn't even eat as much, but apparently fatness feeds on laziness.
The perfect opportunity arrived when I was called on Friday about shooting a video for one of my classes. I was so game, I was all, Yeeees! I get to adventure for realsies.
We were to meet up at school at eighth, so that we could enough time for each place we were going to shoot. We planned on going to Paco Park, Rizal Park and Cubao Expo. We were also supposed to go to Maginhawa Street, but we lacked the time... Okay, I lacked the time. I needed to be home by four.
I know. I'm lame.
So my quest begins begins when I wake up at eighth in the morning. Yup. I was already late and I still had to make my lunch. I packed all my things the other night, so I was all set to go as soon as I . And then the most fail pail thing happens when I finally get out of the house.
I lose my phone.
Gaaaahhh. It was an old model, where its features that made it tolerable was the fact that it had a radio, and hey the flashlight was a bonus too. I mean, I get how if you can text and call, that it doesn't have to be the latest model out there, then your phone's good to go. But dammit, my phone obviously sucked to a certain extent. Why on earth would the cellphone gods made me lose it in the first place?
Or maybe I was just suffering from a drawback of staying indoors. Oh heck, I'm used to commuting, so it has to be my own fail pailness. Losing a phone when it was in my pocket the whole time. Gaaahhh, now I need a new phone and have to get all my contacts fixed. Shizzzz..
But whatevs, so we begin our quest as a group. From LaSalle....
Emman. 1/2 of my best guyfriends. He's the coolest guy I know and he's on another level of hipster- I shizz you not. There is just to much passion inside this dude.
He was also my partner during NSTP, and has been one of my favorite subjects whenever I get a chance to take pictures.
I find him really photogenic :>
... to Paco Park.
Another fave subject: my shoes. I missed wearing my worn out chucks during the rainy weather. One because it's so worn out there's a hole on the soles, two I hate it when my feet get wet, and three I usually don't like wearing socks when I wear these. Yeahhh. I had to stop wearing them 'cause I was getting stinky feet. Hey! I'm wearing socks. Purple socks :>
I love this shot. It looks like I used a professional camera:)) I'm such a feeler, but my camera can get annoying at times when I don't get the pictures I want. Thank youuuu, finally you cooperated with me
This. This is my favorite Emman and cat photo :> This is just adorbs
My new lucky stuffed toy: Diablo Cuatro ♥ My sister made him for me. And now he dangles from a shoelace on my backpack.
Then from Paco Park to... Rizal Park! There was just so much walking involved in this. You have no idea.
Oh my god, look at this idiot. It was about 30 degrees outside and I chose to wear all black. Gaaahhh.
Also check out my very gay umbrella ♥ Marceline enough for you? ;) (lol, no)
Whoo.. my macho arms>:)
Fries from last night. Stale, but they were still fries
The crazy lady in the park. My eyes were scarred for life, good thing I only took a picture of her back. If she was facing me.... the photo would make you cry.
More baon. Best pastillas in the world.
So it was crazy hot but we had to go to one more place: Cubao Expo. Emman who usually frequents the place, 'cause he's hipster-like and so so very cool, was going to give us a tour. But first we had to get to Cubao. And we also had to eat lunch.
Recto station, waiting for the train
In charged of bag watching here at the food court at Gateway. Finally made it to Cubao
My lunch, pancit canton and sausage:)) Funny combination, but it works
I was actually really excited when we started making our way to Cubao Expo. It was a place I've always wanted to visit because of its indie-pop vibe, its being famous for vintage stores and the idea of finding really awesome memorabilia. If ever I do get to start my own business, this was definitely the place (besides Maginhawa Street) where I wanted to open up shop one day. I would do anything just to be part of something so huge and timeless that I am willing to give my lifesavings or live off instant noodles and fries for the rest of my life for it. I swear to Gerard.
We weren't allowed to take pictures of the place though. But the first shop we entered had these really old Polaroid cameras, some weren't working anymore and looked like really good props. But daaamn, the ones that did work? Even if they looked so worn out and jacked up? The price was totally worth it! 2k for a OneStep SX-70 Polaroid? I was all, I WAAAAANT! So much better than waiting until I got rich so that I could ave up for a new one that would cost 14k, and that would take forever. If I do go back to that store and if it's still there? I'm definitely buying at all costs.
I forgot the name of this store, but it sold the cutest stuff. I bought myself a felt Bat pin ♥ and a Pinwheel clip- souvenirs of the Cubao Expo trip. And then I asked if I could take pictures of the shop, and then she was all, "Okay lang. Wag lang sa labas. Bawal kasi". Wiiiiin.
Now waaay before we set foot in Cubao Expo, I've already been a huge fan of this store called Heima. They sold furniture and cameras and a whole bunch of cool and cute things. I've been a lurker of their website ever since I found out that you can get legit Polaroid cameras there.
So it was closed when we arrived, but after we went around for a bit Emman said we should check it out one last time. And then boom! They just opened:D It was insaaane, I was starstruck the whole time. I literally love the atmosphere of the place and so look forward to going back and actually buying something from Heima.
It was already past four, and I was so screwed. So yeah. I was so tired, I lost my phone (I have no idea how am I supposed to survive life starting Monday. Like, how am I ever going to find people or tell them, "I'm here guuuuys!"), my arms got sunburned aaaand my feet felt like they were going fall off from all the walking.
Also, I may have a shizz ton of assignments due this week and a long exam that I'm so not prepared for. But other than that? I'm okay. Also I have a Bat pin that I'm wearing on Monday. Aaaaand speaking of Monday, I'm getting a new pet:)
To all the requirements and exams I am to face soon... Touche to your ass!
